Most Medicare Advantage Plans in Central New York offer some sort of dental coverage.  The differences between each plan is as confusing as the medical and prescription coverage, too.

One Plan offers a reimbursement up to $1000 per year for comprehensive coverage at any dentist you see.  If you don't mind paperwork and can cover the costs, this is the best value in dental coverage available on a $0 premium Medicare Advantage Plan.

There are some great $0 premium Advantage Plans that offer dental coverage with network dentist to cover routine and comprehensive with maximum payouts and Flex Card allowances to help with any 

And of course, there are the "Add On" dental coverage plans available from some carriers that will pay up to $2000 for dental services toward coinsurance for basic and major services.

If you qualify for a Dual Special Needs Plan because you have both Medicare and Medicaid, every plan offers dental coverage at network dentists at no additional monthly cost or copays, however, the most the plan pays is limited to between $500-$1500 depending on the carrier.

What about Dentures?
