In Central New York, there are several savings programs that most Medicare beneficiaries can qualify for.
Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Program (EPIC) is a New York State programmed for Medicare recipients 65 years and older to help with the costs of drugs over a certain out of pocket spent. It works with existing Part D plans.
Extra Help, or Low Income Subsidy is a Medicare discount program to help pay for the Part D premium and/or assist with copayments.
The income limits are subject to change, but in 2020 it was $1980 per month for Married people, $1469 per month for single folks.
Medicare Savings Programs (or MSP) are designed to help with part A and Part B premiums, and may take care of your copays, coinsurance and deductibles, too.

If you have State Medicaid, you may already be eligible for these programs and may be on them already, but there are also special Medicare Plans available.
